General Summary

Reporting to the VP Sales, Europe, the Pre-Sales Consultant is an integral part of the pre-sales process and directly supports sales pursuits of large, complex corporations. This role will drive the solution & technical account strategy and overcome technical obstacles to win deals.

This position requires a seasoned pre-sales professional with solid technical skills. Candidates must have good communication skills and enterprise software pre-sales experience.

The Pre-sale consultant will provide solution direction and specialist knowledge in applying the Exari software to the prospects business. The candidate will facilitate understanding through presentations, demonstrations and provide support throughout the sales cycle.

Essential Job Functions

  • Understand the prospect’s business and technical requirements and craft an overall solution vision, demonstrating Exari’s fit and value within these requirements.
  • Develop and deliver compelling demonstrations of Exari software and related applications, representing the business value of the product’s capabilities.
  • Develop Proof-of-Concept applications to assist in closing deals.
  • Manage sales follow-up, meetings, proposal and internal account planning throughout the sales cycle.
  • Respond to tenders, RFI’s, RFP’s and proposals with respect to solution information
  • Drive the solution deal signoff process with Delivery, Product Management and Engineering.
  • Provide feedback to Product Management and Engineering on improving existing products and developing new products.
  • Create and maintain relationships with key IT stakeholders at our prospects

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • 5+ years of consulting or technical pre-sales experience in enterprise software.
  • Proficiency in one of the following areas: Content Management, CLM, SCM, Procurement
  • Knowledge of security infrastructure is a plus.
  • Knowledge of integration infrastructure is a plus.
  • Strong product presentation skills.
  • Experience with Demos and POC’s.
  • Excellent customer interaction skills.
  • Ability to work in a team selling environment
  • Strong written and spoken communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • BS degree in Engineering or Computer Science preferred

Working Conditions/Physical Demands

  • Normal business environment.
  • Willingness to travel up to 50%.
